In order to achieve the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, the development of new energy has been accelerated in an all-round way. Recently, the National Energy Administration issued the “Notice on the Development and Construction of Wind Power and Photovoltaic Power Generation in 2021″, which clearly requires that the national wind power and photovoltaic power generation account for about 11% of the total electricity consumption in 2021, and increase year by year to ensure that non-fossil energy consumption will account for about 20% of primary energy consumption in 2025. In the medium and long term, targets such as carbon peak carbon neutrality, and non-fossil energy in 2030 accounting for about 25% of primary energy consumption will be very clear. Photovoltaics will play an important role in carbon emission reduction in the future. Photovoltaic power generation is gradually becoming an important direction of energy structure reform for all countries.
Solar street light is a small independent solar photovoltaic power generation system, composed of solar panels, energy storage devices, lamps, controllers, etc., which provides electricity through solar photovoltaic conversion. The professional solar street lights are pollution-free, noise-free, and radiation-free, environmentally friendly, and easy to install, bringing obvious advantages to the construction of municipal projects.
Below we will briefly enumerate several application cases of professional solar street lights in energy saving, emission reduction and carbon neutrality.
1. Technical transformation of solar cells for street lights in some sections of Yuhang District, Hangzhou
The urban management department of Yuhang District, Hangzhou has upgraded some road lights. The CIGS ultra-thin flexible film solar cell technology used on the surface of the street lights is seamlessly bonded and perfectly matched with the pole body. Combining grid-connected and off-grid energy storage technology, it can ensure that the pole body can generate electricity efficiently whether it is in a wet, dusty, foggy or other condition, which has become the core element of the entire pole. At the same time, it combines the latest Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence technologies to create a truly green and zero-energy neighborhood.
2. Ningbo’s first modern urban carbon neutral comprehensive demonstration zone
On June 11, Ningbo’s first modern urban carbon neutral comprehensive demonstration zone started construction in Wandi Village, Yinzhou District. It is understood that it is planned to build a modern urban-type comprehensive demonstration area of “carbon neutrality, bright service, digital intelligence, and rural revitalization” in 2 to 3 years. In order to build a modern urban carbon-neutral comprehensive demonstration zone, more projects will start here in the future, and there will be plans to build street lights with integrated solar storage in the demonstration zone in the future.
3. The “belt and road” initiative National Green Energy Saving Project
Countries under the “Belt and Road” initiative have already made some useful attempts in cooperating to promote green development. For example, the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone established in 2016 has installed “wind + solar” street lights on the main roads of the first phase of the 2 square kilometer project in the expansion area, becoming the first park in Egypt that uses green energy street lights on a large scale.
4. Africa
In tropical countries, there is a large market for professional solar street lights. In addition, many countries in Africa have introduced energy-saving and environmental protection programs in recent years. Project parties who contract government orders will look for Chinese suppliers on international stations. For more than ten years, Chinese-made solar street lights have travelled across the oceans and arrived in Africa. They absorb solar radiation during the day and store them as electrical energy, and discharge them at night to illuminate the streets and campus dormitories in Africa.
ALife Solar has been in the field for 10 years. Its street lights are sold throughout the motherland, sold to more than 112 countries and regions around the world, and the cumulative sales at home and abroad have exceeded 1 million sets. In the domestic market, it mainly cooperates with large state-owned enterprises, double A-qualified lighting and listed lighting companies; in foreign markets, its lights are mainly sold to countries in Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
Taking into account regional differences and different lighting conditions, ALife solar street lights proceed from the details and design a rotatable solar panel to achieve multi-angle adjustment of the solar panel to adapt to the lighting environment of different regions. The color temperature can also be adjusted according to seasonal changes, and 3000K to 5700K cold and warm lights can be switched to meet the lighting needs of different environments.
